I explain it to them when asked.  I use IP for "quick fixes" which really
shouldn't be seen by anyone other than myself.  This method automatically
blocks the file up so that it processes faster without needing a CL OVRDBF to
do so (which allows me to avoid registering YET ANOTHER program in our Change
Management System).  The problem occurs when a manager tells someone to write
a program "just like that one Dean wrote."!  I NEVER use IP files for stock
applications for the very reason you mentioned...
