Is this unique to V3R1? Thanks for > any help. > > Joe Teff > QDS > Bloomington, MN Jeff: To move a date field to a numeric field, you specify the numeric field's date format in Factor 1 of the MOVE. Try: C *ISO Move DateISO Number8 ^^^^ and C *USA Move DateISO Number8 ^^^^ to move to 8-digit fields. After the first MOVE, Number8 will be 19970613. After the second, it will be 06131997. Hope this helps. -- Francis Lapeyre flapeyre@communique.net ---------------------------------------------------------- "The probability of life originating from accident is comparable to the probability of the Unabridged Dictionary resulting from an explosion in a printing factory."
