Willy, I know the 5294 is the old IBM controller, however I am using a
PC with 3196 emulation at my one remote site and it is working well. 
However I do know that of the 5294 , 5394 , and 5494 the 5294 has the
most restrictions since it is rather old... ancient by todays computer
technology standards.
