Contact WorksRight Software, Inc. and check on their product ZIP/CITY.  It
does:

- quarterly updates (not monthly)
- provides area code updates
- provides city/state based on zip code
- provides county name based on zip code
- computes distances between zip codes
- etc., etc.

It's affordable at $300 annually and you can do a 30 day trial.

I have just ordered the trial so I can only tell you about the features
from what I read.......

Based on the price and the trial I think it is a painless ordeal to try
