How are your printers linked to the 400, direct with network board in it,
under PC, under dummy terminal (in this case are your printer set as
HOSTPRTTFM or with the dummy driver ?)

I get a similar problem with other printers, it was due to the dummy driver
which add a lot of thing in each spool (IBM 3488), seting it to HOSTPRTTFM
solve the problem

It's a different way but check it
