Printing is the main caveat--PC5250 (the bundled emulation) does not allow a printer session when using TCP/IP, since it's based on TELNET. There are various remedies - (1) Use NSRouter with AnyNet-not very good, IMO (2) Put an LPD (line print daemon - server) on the PC (3) print to a network-attached printer. The latter 2 options use the LPR facility of TCP/IP-native on AS/400. There seem to be changes at IBM regarding LPR printing--no PAGERANGE, etc. All this seems to be inspired by NetPC's. I recommend avoiding APPC router connections, if possible. TCP/IP is ___SSSOOO___ simple to set up, it's mature (20+ years old), it's universal. There are a number of papers at the IBM Client Access home page on the Web: http://www.as400.ibm.com/client/cahome.html Feel free to mail me privately if you want to here more.
