Bob, > > Gosh, > > With COMMON around the corner and all this CA/400 talk going on (about it > not working in this or that area) I'm beginning to wonder if I need to > restate my serious comments about CA/400. At the conference in Boston (it > was Boston wasn't it?) I said a few words about the wonders of Client > Access for Win95, and what IBM should do with it. For those of you that > heard that comment, do you feel it's still appropriate? > > Bob Cozzi > PS. I got in a lot of trouble for it "Bob you're a high-profile guy. You > can't say stuff like that." said one IBMer. ...that's like throwing gas on > a fire. <g> Bob, Yes I did think it was irresponsible for you to say it in that way. Someone once said to me "If you complain about something and don't offer a solution, you are bitching". At the time, and even now, I believe that CA 95 has a lot of promise. Unfortunately, the implementation leaves so much to be desired. I truly wish they had implemented the basics and gotten it right, then worried about the flash. I have had my share of blood, sweat and tears with this product. But I would never call it a piece of crap. I believe that you as a producer of computer products would be extremely sensitive to an unqualified (meaning "here is why I think this") blasting of a product in a very public forum.
