Re:  Handouts vs. CD-ROMS, etc.
A perhaps novel approach might be to tape each session and
make those available to the conference attendees.  There are
many "third party" companies that would provide this service
for a reasonable price.  For those who do not have handouts,
a clipboard and paper might just have to suffice ... I remember
those days in college writing as fast as the Instructor.  Some
may want to bring little "hand-held" recorders.  The long and
the short of this discussion, in my IMNSO, short of requiring
the presentation to be handed in long before it is given, it
will continue to be a problem.  Therefore, improvise! <g>
