Hi, Art and all

On v3r2 and v3r7, at least, make the changes in the DDS and then use the
CHGPF (Change Physical File) command to add (or delete) fields, or to even
change attributes. Data will be preserved. (There are caveats--changing
attributes may change data.)

This is a fairly new and relatively unnoticed feature of the 400.
