For these kinds of errors, I look in the Asynchronous Communications 
Programming Guide (at least that is what it was called the last time I
looked at appendix B)

A "715" says that "No user ID or Password was supplied, and no 
default user ID was specified in the communications entry."

Check your communications subsystem's communication entries;
see if you have a default user ID in there...
