If you don't HAVE to use the NS/Router, don't. IMO, it's a piece of junk
(perhaps that will improve now that NEtManage owns Netsoft). We dumped DLC
and Netsoft as soon as we got our hands on Windows 95. Straight TCP/IP is
the best option in my experience, but it's by no means perfect. We have to
use the NS/Router and Anynet for a few workstations using a particular
application ( a dialer app using Callpath 400) that requires device names.
But since those PCs only have to use that app for an hour or so a day, I
set them up with TCP/IP for their usual stuff and NS/Anynet for the one
app.
