Quite a few extra gig?

Let's see, if you have a million records in a file, and each record has 10
date fields, then you are adding twenty meg to the file, right? You'd have to
have 50 such files to require 1 gig, right?

If you have fifty files of over a million records each, I can't see how
shaving the extra gig of drive out of your budget made much of a difference.
