Let me clarify a bit further. Although the RCLSTG is important for the Enhanced Upgrade Assistant to get data from your system, here it is not essential. If it runs into bad garbage, it will abend. The RCLSTG needs to be run prior to the save. This is because the RISC restore may not handle the CISC garbage properly.
