Free format code can be as unreadable as fixed format code, however, this   
is why good programming shops have programming standards.  In C, you can   
write an entire program in one very complex line of code but how many IS   
managers would allow for that?  Free format does not have to equate to   
unreadable code.

Actually I'd prefer free-form too; for myself, since I am so wonderful.

But for all of the below average programmers (that'd be half or more,
right?) I'd like at least some structure there that is recognisable a few
weeks later.  Rambo-style makes me jittery.
