I use RPG IV quite often. I've also attended many sessions at COMMON over the
past couple of years listening to Cozzi, Paris, Gantner, etc. about RPG IV and
ILE. I've read every article that I could find in News/400 and Midrange
Computing concerning this topic. I also purchased Cozzi's RPG IV book from
Midrange Computing. I've given a couple of seminars to other consultants in the
firm I work for (one for RPG IV and the other for ILE topics).

I am considering taking this certification at the Spring COMMON if it's
offered. The one thing that I noticed about taking the sample questions is that
I did not read the questions careful enough and a few times I took the first
answer that appeared correct. After seeing the correct answer, it was obvious
that I rushed. In one case, I did not understand the question until after I saw
the answer. I am hoping that the real test is not loaded down with these.

I would also like to commend Jon Paris. He has answered several postings of
mine concerning RPG IV and specifically ILE questions. For some reason, I was
having a tremendously hard time understanding Activation Groups. I cornered him
on several occasions at the 1996 Spring COMMON about this topic. He was very
friendly and always patient with me. Thanks Jon!
