Rather than call qcmdexc, why not call your own program that monitors for
file existance? A little CLP such as:
CHKOBJ MyLibrary/MyFile
MONMSG CPF9801 EXEC( DO )
CRTPF MyLibrary/MyFile ...
ENDDO
If the file name or the source file changes you could pass those as
parameteres, etc.
