Jeff,
try thinking of the IFS as a "PC" file system.
It looks like you are trying to copy file members which are not
recognized easily in the PC world.
Check into CPYTOSTMF - Copy To Stream File
and CPYFRMSTMF - Copy From Stream File.
I think this might give you what you want.
