Rob This is a problem, particularly as this is not the only mailing list or newsgroup to watch. Sometimes the time shown on a message sent to the mailing list by someone else is 24 hours before the time when I receive it. I have had plenty of other mail in the meantime. I don't reply if someone else has already done so unless I feel that I have something to add. Perhaps it would be nice if we could build up a history of all posts by subject or perhaps have a FAQ section. What do others think? I fully realise that we are the privileged guests of David Gibbs, so, David, have you any ideas on how to cut down the traffic and perhaps the strain (?) on your server without reducing the considerable value and immediacy of the list.
