I use the SAVRSTOBJ and it's brethern quite often.  I think it's great that IBM 
automated the old SNA way with this newer SNA way.  Other alternatives include 
using TCP/IP.  However there are some applications that we still use SNDNETF 
and it's ilk.  The reason we do this is because if comm is down or the remote 
system is down or the remote system is doing some period end processing or 
whatever the local system doesn't give a rip.  It sends off the file and lets 
the remote system get it when it feels like it.

ObjectConnect/400 provides both the SAVRSTOBJ and SAVRSTLIB commands,
and is included free with V3R7 and above.  These commands would be
much faster and easier.
