Pat ! Thank you SO much for the GREAT info - where did you get this from ? I'm new to this AS/400 site so I'm new to this tape unit (coming from a 3590, 3490 shop...) and am REALLY wondering about it... Are you actually using one ? Did the letter have a date ? I'm wondering about the IDRC feature - does this imply that it is PART of the drive/AS/400 or something you can get and why wouldn't it be "active" ? :-) Thanks !
