 AS/400 ERP Gaining Momentum

                   By Paul on
                   Thursday September 24, @10:03AM

                   SAP and Lawson.

                   Some very positive news about
                   Lawson Financials integration with
Lotus Notes on the AS/400 in this
                   InfoWorld article.

On a related note, on top of IT
contributor John Carr writes in "A
study by the META Group found
                   that the AS/400 has significantly
                   shorter implementation times than
both NT and Unix for SAP R/3.
Moreover, SAP R/3 can now be
                   ordered Preconfigured, Preloaded,
                   and Pretested with the AS/400's
                   "Ready To Run" offering complete
                   with Hardware, Software, and
                   Networking components. It seems
like the AS/400 will be a dynamic
player in the ERP arena. What do
                   you think?" Well?
