We have recently created a couple of files to hold summary information retrieved from our production files. We are updating the files using SQL run from a source file. Our problem is that with 500,000 records in this file, the journaling overhead is ridiculous. Is there any way that we can do this without journaling? We chose SQL in the first place because of the union capabilities. We can not do want we want very easily in Query/38 or Query/400. TIA, Bob Clark
