Are keyboard shortcuts considered GUI !!!

To me, they are used to "work around" the GUI. GUI is supposed to be user 
friendly, pressing <ALT>T to display a list of states in a pull down is not my 
definition of user friendly. At least, in a green screen, you press always the 
same key (F4) to get a choice list.
