Actually, Alt-T or whatever is the shortcut to move to that field.  It
may or may not automatically "open" the combo box, depending on how
the developer coded it.  It is just a key to get to the field, not
necessarily to get the choice list.

You'll notice that F4 on the AS/400 is context sensitive to where your
cursor is placed.  Do you know what F4 does in a standard Windows
combo box?  Gues what ... it opens the combo box to get the choice
list.  Not unlike using F4 on the 400.  Try it in any Windows ap.  It
is a standard Windows key.

In my Windows apps, I also softcode the F4 key to launch search/select
windows where appropriate for text boxes.  People who prefer the mouse
can click the associated button; keyboard users can press F4.

But F4 *is* the standard Windows key for choice lists!
