hadn't thought of that angle.  but the comment i posted came off information 
from
ibm's web site!  on a comparison of the as/400 to unix.

last nite, i went to a christmas party, and ended sitting next to a couple that
had a small business, run on p/c's, under dos.  they were switching to unix, but
he was really anti windows.  thought it was too much trouble, didn't like 
fooling
with a mouse, etc.  also he didn't like the unreliability of the windows
platform.

we did discuss the as/400 and how reliable it was, but i don't know if he's
interested or not.  i think he has software picked out.  but he did ask how much
an as/400 was..
