Wasn't all of this timed to match the "big push" for OS/2 which was introduced to beat Windows 93^H^H94^H^H95 to market? My remembrance was that it all relied upon a pure IBM solution and potential buyers just yawned and stayed up all night in August of 1995 so they could have the "real" solution, Windows 95?
