Thank you for your assistance. You pointed me in the right direction. I have determined the problem. The text file was created using MS Word 97 and Word has a helpful function called 'Smart Quotes'. 'Smart Quotes' automatically replaces 'Straight Quotes' with 'Smart Quotes' or a Curly Quote. I turned this feature off in Word and it works now. To turn this off you need to go to "Tools...AutoCorrect...AutoFormat As You Type" and under "Replace as you type" unselect the option. Thanks Again for all of your help.
