But if the bad records are scattered at different positions in the file, then it is difficult to exclude using OVRDBF. Actually, we cannot modify the bad records as it is a client machine. And asking the client to fix the bad data is the last option I go for. I am trying to find a way to pull these bad records within the ILE program and print a report. This way, my program will not blow out and I can process the good records. When this packed field contains blanks, and when we move this packed field to an alpha field, instead of getting a DataDecimal Error, is there anyway, we can do some tricks to move blanks to the alpha field?
