When you say a shared folder I am going to assume you mean something under the
/QDLS structure?
On our system after we log on we have to
cd /qdls/sysdoc
Notice the directions of the slashes?
For a green screen representation type in WRKLNK on your AS/400.

Subject: FTP connection

I have a client who is attempting to FTP from a PC to the AS/400 to a shared
folder. The user can ftp and open a connection but can not send. Moreover,
once the connection has been made with an OPEN a user sign on is not echoed
back.

I suspect that it may have something to do with their QSECURITY system value
being set to 40. However, changing this value may be overkill and could be
solved with perhaps CFGTCPFTP.

Thanks in advance for any insight into this problem.
