Hi all, I have a client with a small staff and no "designated" system operator. The person in charge of backup rotation has asked if I could have the QSYSOPR message stating which tape set to mount be converted to an email. I already have a utility that will echo QSYSOPR messages to a list of recipients but they claim they check their email more often than the QSYSOPR message queue. They have a 150 at V4R3. The only IP servers we have running are Telnet and FTP. They also have their LAN connected to a Linux box that acts as gateway to their ISP where their email accounts are maintained. I can detect the QSYSOPR receiving the message, but where would I start reading to find out about any API or other services for converting this message to an email and sending it to their ISP provided account?
