We have been a Lansa shop for about 10 years and are still extensively
using it. But the strategic direction is to go to Java and Visual Age. I
am not aware of how Lansa has kept up with things in the new Web oriented
world, but I would say that they probably aren't seen as the "future". I
also believe they have not adequately marketed their product in the US, so
even though the product was quite good, not many people were aware of that.

I am returning to the 400 world after staying home with my children. I
keep
hearing that Lansa is the future. Any opinions out there?

I have seen some of it and have not been impressed so far.

If not Lansa, where should I focus my training. I am currently an RPG III
coder.
