Please excuse my ignorance... I have no operations background at all.
When you say the temp PTF's will all just disappear... that sounds a bit
scary.  What exactly does this mean?

The only reason to permanently apply PTF's is to reduce disk usage.  You
can
upgrade with PTF's in any state.  They will all just disappear.
Make sure you have a good backup before you start.  Good luck.

        ordering PTF's I don't know about?  Anyway, what are the
ramifications
