My favorite book on this subject is an IBM redbook entitled 'Cool title about 
the AS/400 and the Internet'.  It has a sample RPG ILE program in it.  I've 
used it for a starting point.  Although IBM is strongly encouraging us to use a 
third party product like the one in this email, or the one from 
www.pentasafe.com

The AS/400 only supports Anonymous FTP when you put a process on the FTP
exit point to handle it. Check out the TCP/IP reference manual for some
examples of how to do this. If I remember correctly there is a simple CL
program example and a C example. Then, of course, there are vendors of
software like us that have packaged solutions for FTP security. You can
