While it is not integrated with the AS/400, there are several clocks in the $30 range that provide accurate time. They link into the radio frequency of the Navy's Atomic clock in Colorado. They update themselves are a specific time intervals. If power goes out, they automatically reset themselves when power is restored. While this doesn't solve your problem, it may save some dollars by eliminating the need for the time service.

Subject: Time synchronization

Is anyone aware of an automated method of synchronizing the AS/400 time with  an official time clock for regulatory purposes?

Explanation:  NASD requires us to provide accurate time stamps on security orders when received, when executed, etc.  At present, the operator calls the time service, manually sets the time, and so.......

Any suggestions would be appreciated...
