Thanks to you all for your help.

The RTVQRYF tool (from news400.com) is exactly what I was looking for, I
gives both the query infile and outfile info I need :-)
Arlene also suggested trying HAWKEYE which is an really excellent package,
but this is quiet a small department and I can't convince my boss to buy it
:-(
