I think Paul Nicolay has posted some sample code for this on the
News/400 site (http://www.news400.com). We also did a simple port of the
NIS time code to the AS/400. It's not one of our commercial products but
the source and object is available if you like. If I remember correctly
the application connects to the government's Boulder time facility and
reports any differences with the AS/400's time. You can download it at
this link: http://www.patownsend.com/nistime.zip.
