We use labels from a handheld device that prints labels.  We just cover up the 
barcode on the end.  The tape drive uses the barcode label on the side anyways. 
 The one on the front is a duplicate for customer benefit.

For a real screaming tape drive use the 3590.  Of course, it takes a sizable 
400 to run it at full speed.  For example, a 400 upgrade took the same tape 
drive from doing a SAVSYS in 44 minutes down to 4.

Excuse my ignorance.  There's no way to attach a pressure sensitive
label of any kind?

Will IBM send tapes on 3570?  Are 3570 tapes totally unique, or 1/2"
cartridges, or what?
