HwaRangRon,

Exactly what you describe happens and that is the behavior I want to have happen.

The extra thing that happens and is causing me trouble is that during the time that program B has a window displayed the portion of the screen from program A that is not covered by the window from program B reverts to an old screen.  Once program B finishes then program A's screen returns to the current and correct display.

Booth,

RSTDSP(*YES) simply means that if interactive program A presents a screen,
then calls interactive program B which displays a screen, when B ends and
returns to A, the system will restore the display screen(s) that were up when
you left program A.

You haven't said if all of the other functions that display windows are in
other programs. Do you ever rewrite the first screen up?

Ron
