Yes, you can use SSL with V4R3 and up (maybe even lower OS's).  If you meant
SSI, that works great.

No, you do not need FP extentions to publish FP pages to the AS/400.  Of
course, if you rely on all the little crappy scripts it writes to do stuff,
then you do.  But, I've had no problem with it.  Map a drive to the IFS, and
publish to that drive, add a PASS directive and try it out.  That's the only
way to tell for sure.

I use FP simply as a WYSIWYG HTML editor, nothing more. (The java stuff
works, like hover buttons, etc, so I may use that now and then).

Just remember to test on IE and Netscape.  You'd be suprised what doesn't
work on NS.  (Well, they are falling behind in standards).
