This sounds like a cool hacking API. So I can pass it an infinite number
of passwords until I get in and it won't disable the user profile?

Thanks for the help,

Would anyone have code (program) in RPG or CL that does this. I'm fairly new
to R.P.G/AS400 so I haven't used A.P.I's yet,

Thanks again,

Michael

Michael,

Check out the QSYGETPH API. You pass it a profile & password and it
tells you if it is a valid combination.

In addition, the QWTSETP API lets you assume the identity of the user.

Subject: Electronic Signatures

Hello,
I'm developing a system which has to implement electronic signature's.
I was
planning to some how use the 400's signon screen. Is there an
API/Program I
can call to bring up the signon screen and let a user enter their user
id and
password to verify who they are. I don't want to start a new session I
just
want to use the 400's user id/password verification process.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,
Michael
