Could someone please share their experiences on attaching
a bar code reader (Laser preferred), to a 319x terminal?

but it appears that the prices
of the equipment that can attach to a dumb terminal is
such that it may be easier (I'm sorry "cost effective") to
just "tweak" the interactive application to read the bar
code,

We attach a Intermec model 1551 to the tube, works just like they typed it! :)

The only tweaking is to find out what "standard" of bar-code your suppliers will
use. We have the automotive standard so a field like Part Numbers have the
letter "P" on the front of the bar code. This is not a necessary part of the
bar-code in all applications.
