Gerald:
You could get a "wedge" reader that goes between your cheek and gum......
ooopps, sorry thats a different product.... goes between you keyboard and
your tube.  It basically reads the bar code and sends the output to your app
as you keyed.  Nice because you don't have to rewrite your app.  Just scan
the barcodes for the appropriate fields.
