when they first came out, weren't thin clients about 1/2 the cost of a
p/c?  then p/c prices fell like stones, and the money saving appeal just
wasn't there.  

and most people want a p/c on their desk that is theirs.  so they can
load their screen savers, their games, and whatever.  and then mis gets
the grief when the things crash!  

i'm not saying that i agree, but that's the way it is.
