I'm withholding judgment until I see the capabilities and pricing of the new Intel based boxes with hard drives. The inhibitor to Java based apps on thin clients has been the time it takes to download the Java code, browser, or whatever else you need to download, and the resulting sluggishness of the application. When you can cache this stuff on the client that changes the picture significantly. A lot of IBM's larger users don't seem to think they are dead either - there have been a number of large orders recently. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
