Wasn't there a "Upper" type person with the server group who pushed
the Netfinity/NT combo, Who left and went to work for (or
finially offically
        got paid by :-) ) Microsoft ??

Subject: Comments on Palmisano replacing Stephenson

I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on Bob Stephenson being
replaced by Sam
Palmisano. Al? For those that don't know Stephenson was the head
of the server
group of which the AS/400 and Tom Jarosh report to. Sam Palmisano
has recently
been in charge of the Global Services division.

A couple of comments made by industry magazines and analysts makes
me believe
that this could be an extremely good move for the AS/400 and I don't
think I
        will miss Bob Stephenson.....

It's interesting to note that the AS/400 specific advertising starts
up right
        after this announcement last week.......
