On our 9406-510, I found the autotuner to be essentially worthless. We had to monitor the various stats and make adjustments over time, as you suggest. The situation on the 310 was the same. Then we migrated to the 9406-720. My IBM var told me that autotuner worked well, so I turned it on. It has worked so well that I've set virtually everything to *CALC and simply let the system mangage itself This thing is so fast it's scary. Batch jobs that used to run in hours now take minutes. Interactive response times are, quite frankly, amazing, particularly on AR lookup over LARGE customers. I iz impressed. --Chris +----------------------------------------------------- Christopher J.
