Let's just quickly take a look at a few examples: Application Type Traditional GUI Browser Based Email client Outlook Hotmail News Gravity, FAgent Various web fora Product Docs Context Sensitive Help IBM InfoCenter I find that browsers tend to be good at what they were designed for - rendering a document for display, but are generally a poor means of collecting, validating, and processing data.
