IMHO the only reason to have a secondary ASP is if you are doing Journaling
so you can put the journal receivers in ASP2.
If this does not apply, put all the disk in the system ASP and mirror or
raid 5 all of the drives.
A lot of people put older drives in a secondary ASP to protect the system
from a crash but if one of these drives fails your ASP 1 data is safe but
your system will still go down and you will have to repair/remove the
defective drive.
If the old drives bother you, remove them from the system.
