Roman is wanting to separate the slower drives from the faster ones - to do
this more than 1 ASP is required.
I think that two ASP's are also required if you are wanting to use the
compression functions in V4R4 .

Roman: I would tend to agree with Larry's answer.  Also, given the number of
disks you use, and the fact that performance is an important factor, have
you looked at IBM's new disk cache?  It's quite pricey, but according to the
marketing blurb does wonders for response time (I don't know of anyone using
it yet though).  You'd need to be V4R4 though....
