Yup!

The major difference is that you have no prototyping support in COBOL so you
have to "hand-craft" each CALL .... RETURNING and have to deal with a couple of
issues yourself to a greater degree than in RPG. For example there is no
equivalent to options(*String) so you have to null terminate any character
strings yourself - similarly there is no equivalent to %STR to dereference
strings.

We should probably move this to the COBOL400-L if you want to discuss it more.
